Which countries do you export wheat straw and Rhodes grass to?
We export from Karachi to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain in the Gulf; to Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Egypt, Morocco and other African markets; to Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Southeast Asia; and to European buyers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and beyond.
What is Rhodes grass hay used for?
Rhodes grass (Chloris gayana) is a fine-stemmed tropical grass dried into hay. It is fed to dairy cows, horses, camels, sheep and goats as a palatable, digestible forage. Our Rhodes grass tests at 9–12% crude protein and 10–14% moisture.
Is wheat straw good for cattle feed?
Wheat straw is a high-fibre, low-protein roughage. It keeps the rumen working, balances energy-dense rations for dairy and beef cattle, and is also used as bedding. Our wheat straw tests at maximum 12% moisture, minimum 3.5% crude protein and 40% ADF fibre.
What is the difference between Rhodes grass, wheat straw and alfalfa?
Wheat straw is mainly fibre (about 3.5% protein), Rhodes grass hay is a mid-protein grass hay (about 9–12% protein), and alfalfa is a legume hay with higher protein. Many farms mix straw or Rhodes grass with alfalfa and concentrates to balance cost, fibre and protein.
What are the HS codes for wheat straw and Rhodes grass hay?
Wheat straw is usually classified under HS 1213 (cereal straw and husks). Rhodes grass hay is usually classified under HS 1214.90 (other forage products such as hay). Confirm the exact national tariff line with your customs broker.
How is feed quality checked before export?
Every batch is tested for moisture, protein content and fungal presence. Shipments are inspected by third parties such as SGS and Bureau Veritas before departure.
